How to use the Smart Publisher

Smart Publisher automatically removes vehicles from third-party listing platforms when they meet criteria you define, such as receiving too many leads in a short period or belonging to a specific car grade.

Enabling Smart Publisher

1. Go to Stock in the main navigation.
2. Open the Settings dropdown.
3. Toggle Smart Publisher on.

How It Works

You create rules that define when a vehicle should be pulled from third-party platforms. When a vehicle matches any rule, it is automatically restricted from the platforms you specify. You can see all currently affected vehicles on the Smart Publisher page under Stock > Smart Publisher.

Creating a Rule

1. Go to Stock > Smart Publisher and click Settings, then Add rule.
2. Optionally give the rule a name and apply any stock filters to target specific vehicles.
3. Under Restrict from, select which third-party platforms the rule should apply to (e.g. Autogate, Drive, Facebook, Autotrader).
4. Configure one or more of the following conditions:

Restrict by Car Grade Toggle on and select which car grades should be restricted (e.g. A, B). Set how many days the restriction should last.

Restrict by Number of Leads Toggle on and set how many leads a car must receive within a given time window (e.g. 3 leads in 24 hours) to trigger a restriction. Set how long the restriction should last in hours.

5. Optionally toggle Send SMS when car is restricted. When enabled, any lead who enquired on the vehicle will receive an SMS letting them know it has been removed from the platform. You can customise the message or use the default.
6. Add any team members to Users to notify when item restricted so the right people are kept in the loop.
7. Save the rule. It will begin firing immediately on matching stock.

Viewing Restricted Vehicles

Go to Stock > Smart Publisher to see a list of all currently restricted vehicles. For each vehicle you can see the reason it was restricted, its car grade, when the restriction started, and when it will end.

If you want to override the rule for a specific vehicle, toggle Ignore on the right side of that row. The vehicle will be republished to the relevant platforms and will not be restricted again by that rule.
