This guide will walk you through understanding and using the Menu Editor on your website. The Menu Editor allows you to organise and manage your site's navigation, making it easier for visitors to find content and explore your pages. A well-structured menu improves user experience, supports SEO, and ensures that your website feels intuitive and professional.
Using the Menu Editor, you can create main menus, submenus, and custom links, adjust menu order, and update labels to reflect your content accurately. You can also control which pages appear in your navigation, making it simple to highlight important sections and streamline access to key information.
Follow the steps below to learn how to create, customise, and manage your website menus effectively.
Understanding the Menu Editor
The menu editor is for editing the website's header and footer. It is also used to change the order in which options on the footer and header are presented on the website.
How to access the Menu Editor
In your Dealer Studio dashboard, head to websites and select the website that you would like to edit.
Then head to "Menu Editor" in the side bar.
Your Menu Editor should look something like this.
How to edit in the Menu Editor
To add a new option, simply press the "+" button next to the "Header" or "Footer" options.
To change the order that the options appear in on the website, click and drag the grey icon to the left to change it to your desired order.
To add an option that will appear under another option, for example having a "Parts & Accessories" as an option that appears when you access the "Service" option. Simply click the "+" icon that is next to "Service" and add in the title of your new option and also add the link to that page.
