How to Create an Email Report


This article will guide you through creating an email notification, a valuable tool for dealers to enhance their marketing, reporting, and inventory updates. Email notifications can be set up to report automatically to different departments and/or dealership locations.


Step 1: Access settings via the Dealer Studio dashboard


Step 2: Scroll down to "Email Reports" in the sidebar and begin creating the new report

Next, click on the "New Automated Email Report" button to start building your new report.


Step 3: Enter the information for the automated report.


You will be prompted to enter the recipients' email addresses, specify the content of the email notification, choose the frequency of notification, and select the dealership location. By creating multiple separate entries, you can set up automated notifications to report to different teams with varying notification types. If a team member belongs to multiple teams, they will receive a different email for each notification they're added to.


Step 4: Add users

Suggestions may appear in the drop-down menu, but you'll typically need to search by the user's name or email to add them. If they don't appear, ensure they're added as a user (refer to How to Add User for assistance).

Step 5: Select the notification type


A drop down menu with options will appear, only one notification type can be selected. A new entry will have to be made in order to notify a team of two different options.


Step 6: Determine the frequency of the email report

Select the frequency - daily, weekly, or monthly - from the drop-down menu.


Step 7: Determine which location

Select the dealership location from which you want the notification to originate. The report will include data from this selected location.

Step 8: Finalise information and create the notification.

Make sure to review the information you have entered in, then click the "Create Notification" button to finalise it.


To edit or delete a notification

Access the "Email Reports" section in settings, locate the report you wish to modify, and use the dropdown arrow to select "Edit" or "Destroy." You can also send the notification immediately by clicking "Send Now."
